The magnetic signal wheel is generally installed on the input shaft or output shaft in the gearbox and is composed of dozens of pairs of magnetic poles. The input shaft or output shaft drives the magnetic signal wheel to turn or rotate in reverse. The magnetic field received by the matching sensor end is changed by the rotation of the magnetic opposite pole on the magnetic signal wheel. Thus, the sensor can be prepared to identify the direction and size of the speed.
The magnetic signal wheel set is equipped with a sensor, which uses a Hall sensor: the core of the hall sensor is that when the carrier in the solid material moves in the external magnetic field, the trajectory is offset due to the action of Lorentz force, and charge accumulation is generated on both sides of the material to form an electric field perpendicular to the electric current direction, and finally the Lorentz force received by the carrier is balanced with the electric field repulsion force, Thus, a stable potential difference, namely Hall voltage, is established on both sides. The built-in circuit of the chip converts the electrical signal into a pulse signal through conversion, which is accepted by the ECU. ECU recognizes the wheel speed and steering by reading the number and pulse width of pulse signals.
Magnetic signal wheel is mainly used in automobile engine and gearbox. It has strong high-resolution signal, oil resistance, chemical resistance, excellent temperature resistance, customized magnetic pole width and type without additional finished products, and light mass to reduce the weight of the whole vehicle, which makes it widely used in recent years.
